We hope you will join us on April 15th at Brothers Lounge Wine Bar for the sophomore presentation of the monthly Third Fridays Concert Series, where each month Tracy Marie will collaborate and share a night of music with an established or up-and-coming local artist! This event is free and opened to the public. The third Friday of April features Singer/Songwriter, Thor Platter.

Thor Platter hit the Cleveland music scene by storm in 2008 when he first arrived in Northeast Ohio, after relocating from Buffalo, New York. This working, folk-roots Singer/Songwriter immediately discovered that although Cleveland is not well-known as a mecca for Americana music, he was still able to establish himself into a steady flow of area bookings for his original act, reminiscent of Willie Nelson. He admits the Cleveland circuit has afforded him the kind of creative freedom few artists enjoy and he’s not beholden to genre boundaries or target marketing. “I have more freedom as to what style my songs evolve into.” Thor says, “If I want to do them in a bluegrass style or a more rock or blues thing, they all fit.”

After establishing his footing on the local scene, Thor aligned himself with Cleveland’s top musicians to create his 2013 LP release, Looking For Sunshine, followed up by his 2015 release, Long Road Ahead which was recorded and produced locally with Bad Boys of Blues drummer Jim Wall. And Thor continues to perform a steady flow of well-attended shows around town while backed by a stellar line-up of local musicians such as bassist, Paul Lewis and keyboardist, Chris Hanna, who both recently returned from Nashville. The Thor Platter Band is topped off by Paul Kovac of Cleveland’s well-known popular group Hillbilly Idol.

On Friday April 15th Tracy Marie is honored to share an evening of music and stories with one of Cleveland’s top local Singer/Songwriters, Thor Platter.
