Perfect blend of Americana, alt-country and humor

$28 Advance, $32 Day of Show, All Ages, Reserved.

For years, Todd Snider has been one of the most beloved country-folk singers in the country. In the nineties, he had a top forty hit with “Talking Seattle Grunge Rock Blues,” which gave national audiences the first taste of his brilliantly insightful songwriting voice: at once satirical and sincere, Snider was an American original from the start. Since the release of the 2004 album East Nashville Skyline, though, Snider’s star really started to rise. Hailed by critics as one of the top albums of the year, East Nashville Skyline was followed by The Devil You Know and The Excitement Plan. Snider’s songs took on George W. Bush (“You Got Away With It”) and America’s recent fascination with foreign war (“Mission Accomplished”), along with a host of more intimate topics: married love, devotion to old friends, memories of foolish youth.
