Time Out says

Put together by the Ernst Barlach Foundation in Hamburg, this exhibition takes a fascinating look at the relationship between Kollwitz’s graphic art and Barlach’s sculpture. Despite being very different artists, they were kindred spirits, sharing a deep pacifism based on their experiences of World War I. Under the Nazis, both artists were branded decadent and they were effectively prevented from exhibiting. It’s rare to see such a concentration of key works by either artist – which is why this exhibition is so unique.
