Jedinica

'Number One' sits on the intersection where Kaptol becomes Nova Ves. A tiny space, it has the reputation for being something of an underground establishment with cameras behind the bar alerting bartenders whether any riff-raff snuck past the bouncers and are on their way down into the basement club. For most though, Jedinica is less a destination than an inevitability if you are in the neighbourhood stretching from the main square to Ribnjak Park as the dance clubs start shutting down you'll find this all-nighter. The music is R&B. The patrons are mixed ages. The drinks are reasonably priced. The air feels smoke-filled. There is no entrance fee. And, true enough, it does feel as if you found the after-party when you stumble in.
