Time Out says

The hipster beard may be a global trend, but Zagreb's barbershop tradition is centuries-old; 'a fistful of beard' is a saying which has its roots in a Pagan ritual of tying together ears of corn to emulate Slavic god Veles' beard. The exhibition celebrates facial hair in all its guises, with displays of 19th and 20th century barbershops tools - some of them conventional, some of them surprising (many barbers moonlighted as bloodletters). And during Movember, the museum will host all manner of moustachioed events.
