Dinosaur Jr

American rock band Dinosaur Jr are stalwarts of the American alt-rock scene. In fact, many cite them as the main formative force behind the genre. Since forming in 1984, they’ve had ups and downs and hiatuses aplenty, but the three piece are very much back in action, with a new record on its way. Their angst-ridden but pacey sound, with drawling vocals and playful distortion, is classic rock as it was in the 60s, and a trip to the Culture Factory on June 24 th will show you how, 10 albums later, these original alt-rockers can still thrill a crowd.
