A group of around six dolphins have been caught on video chasing a ferry off the Croatian coast. The ferry, operated by the Jadrolinija company, was making its way from the city of Split to the island of Vis when the dolphins were spotted

Members of the Blue World Institute of Marine Research and Conservation were luckily in the area and when they saw the playful dolphins, they started filming. Members of the institute, which works to preserve the marine environment, said that Jadrolinija's Petar Hektorović ferry was traveling at about 12 knots at the time, with the relaxed dolphins clearly winning the race to the island.
