Lero Theatre

The Student Theatre Lero, as this amateur company is affectionately known, was founded in the political turbulence of 1968. The group acquired an almost legendary status in the alternative art scene and picked up numerous awards. The Lero only stages one show a year. Recent productions have included works by Bertolt Brecht, Eugène Ionesco, the Russian avant-garde and modern interpretations of Ragusan classics. The Lero doesn't have its own stage and usually performs on the Bursa stage of the Marin Držić.
