Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 

The Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K returns to the city this Sunday to celebrate its ninth anniversary.

While the race itself is sold out, there's entertainment to be enjoyed at the iconic Sunkist Lawns on the Golden Mile.

This year's finish-line celebrations promise even more excitement, with DJ Cndo and award-winning Afro-pop stars Q Twins performing live, creating the perfect soundtrack as runners complete the scenic 10km route.

The Prince of Egypt

One of the biggest family theatre productions of the year arrives in Durban. Featuring unforgettable music by Stephen Schwartz, orchestral arrangements by Hans Zimmer and spectacular staging, The Prince of Egypt retells the story of Moses in an epic musical that's perfect for all ages.

Hollywoodbets Super League Festival

  • Dates: 10–12 July 2026
  • Venue: Mpumalanga Stadium, Hammarsdale

South Africa's best women's footballers descend on Hammarsdale for three days of top-flight football.

Eight Hollywoodbets Super League fixtures will be played across the weekend, with Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis expected to attend. Whether you're a football fan or simply looking for an affordable sporting outing, this promises plenty of excitement.

KZN North Coast

O'Neill Ballito Pro Skate Jam

The Ballito Bowl comes alive as Olympian Brandon Valjalo returns to headline the annual Skate Jam. This forms part of the epic Ballito Pro Presented by O'Neill running at Willard Beach in Ballito until 18 July.

South Africa's top skaters will compete for R30 000 in prize money across the Open and Grom divisions, while spectators can expect plenty of spectacular tricks and an incredible festival atmosphere.

The Ballito Pro continues to transform Willard Beach into one giant festival. Beyond the Challenger Series surfing, visitors can enjoy beach games, BMX demonstrations, retail stalls, food vendors, conservation activities, family entertainment and FIFA World Cup fan zones.

Crocworld Kids' Craft Days

  • Dates: 13–15 July
  • Venue: Crocworld Adventure & Conservation Centre, Scottburgh

Young explorers can enjoy creative workshops including canvas painting, slime making, bracelet making and tote bag decorating before heading off on guided trail walks, crocodile feeding experiences and wildlife encounters.

Lake Eland Extreme MTB Race

Swap the city for the great outdoors this Saturday as the Lake Eland Extreme MTB Race returns to one of KwaZulu-Natal's most spectacular adventure destinations. Part of the South Coast Adrenaline Series, the event sees mountain bikers take on scenic 20km, 40km and 60km routes through the beautiful Lake Eland Game Reserve.

Even if you're not entering the race, there's plenty happening throughout the day. Families can enjoy giant jumping castles, a dedicated kids' play area, live DJ entertainment, food stalls, competitions and giveaways, plus Halfway Ford vehicle displays, test drives and exciting 4x4 experiences.
