JOMBA! Contemporary Dance Experience

Dance is taking over Durban for 13 days as the 28th JOMBA! Contemporary Dance Experience brings together artists from South Africa and around the world.
Expect performances, workshops, artist residencies, public discussions, youth programmes and digital dance, with artists from Spain, France, Jamaica, the Netherlands, Uganda, Ireland, Nigeria, Tanzania, Brazil and beyond joining the South African line-up.

If your idea of a good afternoon involves curry, spices and learning a few tricks from one of Durban’s best-known food personalities, this is one for you.
Yudhika Sujanani will guide guests through dishes including Royal Parda Lamb Biryani, Shahi Masala Chicken, Tamarind and Tomato Prawn Curry and Burfee Soji.
It’s not simply about following recipes. Expect tips, techniques and stories about the food – making this a particularly tasty way to celebrate Heritage Month.
KZN Philharmonic Orchestra Early Spring Season Finale

Mozart gets the final word as the KZN Philharmonic’s Early Spring Season comes to an end. Conductor Leon Bosch leads the orchestra, with piano duo Xin Wang and Florian Koltun performing Mozart’s Concerto for Two Pianos.
The programme opens with Rossini’s lively Barber of Seville Overture before Mozart takes centre stage with Symphony No. 39.

Lucky Fish Friday Night Racing

Yudhika Sujanani's Durban Baking Masterclass

Yudhika will share the stories and techniques behind classics including Mealie Cake, Waring’s Snowballs, fresh cream doughnuts, scones, chocolate lamingtons and White Chocolate Burfee Cake. There’s also a high tea afterwards, because learning how to make the good stuff is only half the fun.
Hosted by Darren Maule, the afternoon promises cooking demonstrations, stories and plenty of laughs. Guests also receive a signed copy of Madame Curry: Feast, Pray, Love, a Jimmy Choo Fragrances gift and a goodie bag from Bacher and Co.

3D Lemon Canvas Painting Workshop

Fancy escaping to the Amalfi Coast without leaving Durban?
This creative morning takes its inspiration from the sun-drenched cliffs of Southern Italy, with guests creating their own textured, 3D lemon artwork. All canvas materials, paints and step-by-step guidance are included, along with a meal to enjoy halfway through.
Freedom Musiq One Man Show

The Durban Street Food Festival is back, transforming The Pavilion into one giant foodie playground where Durban bunny chow sits alongside gourmet smash burgers, Indian street food, seafood pasta, South American empanadas, German sweet treats, matcha drinks and plenty of desserts.
With more than 75 food, craft and lifestyle vendors, this is one for anyone who considers 'just one more snack' a perfectly reasonable lunch strategy.

Barry Thomson and The Reals: Groovin' with the Girls

Get ready for a nostalgic trip through some of the biggest songs from the past few decades.

WOA iQembu Cycle Challenge

Get your cycling crew together.
The WOA iQembu Cycle Challenge is back for its fourth edition, turning Durban's M4 into a fast, flat team time-trial course. Teams tackle either two, three or five laps of a 20km circuit, with the clock stopping when the required number of riders cross the finish line.
The 100km event is for teams of five to eight, the 60km requires four to six riders, while the 40km option is open to teams of two to four. It’s open to everyone from cycling clubs and serious racers to families, training groups and ‘we should probably exercise more’ teams.
Every entrant also receives custom cycling socks, a finisher's medal, goodie bag and finish drinks.
KZN North Coast
Mother and Daughter Brunch 26

Round off the weekend with Liquideep at Chris Saunders Park.

Spring Day Sip & Paint

The Takeover

If your weekend needs a late-night soundtrack, The Takeover promises a night of music and big energy.

Got a taste for murder, mystery and a suspiciously large number of people with motives?
Agatha Christie’s The Hollow is bringing classic whodunnit drama to Westville Theatre Club, where a country-house gathering takes a very dark turn.
Hercule Poirot is on hand, but even the famous Belgian detective has his work cut out for him when a staged murder turns out to be very real.
Shows run on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7pm, with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2.30pm.
And it’s dinner-style theatre, so bring your own food and drinks.
Lifestyle & Garden Spring Show

Returning to the Vuleka Conference Centre in Botha’s Hill, the two-day show brings together growers, nurseries, garden suppliers, landscapers, retailers and hobbyists, with ideas for everything from tiny balconies and window boxes to sprawling gardens and water-wise outdoor spaces.
There’ll also be plenty beyond the plants, including statement art, stained glass, metal-framed gates, bespoke garden benches, budget-friendly greenhouses, drainage and watering systems, fire pits and ideas for giving old materials a new life.
Classic car fans can also check out a selection of vintage wheels from the Sunchasers Club in Pietermaritzburg, while the tea garden will have coffee, snacks, meals and teatime treats for refuelling between laps of the show.
And there’s a particularly fun extra on Sunday: Durban Tourism’s Rickshaw bus will offer five free, hour-long trips showcasing attractions around the Valley of 1000 Hills. Keep your show wristband handy to hop aboard.
KZN Midlands and Drakensberg
The Berg Show

The Berg Show brings the spirit of a small farming community to life with agricultural and livestock displays, local stalls, live music and plenty of food.
