Popular Glaswegian pan-Asian restaurant chain Bar Soba have opened their third Glasgow site in Merchant City.

The chain – which first opened in Glasgow 15 years ago – is taking up the former Chophouse Brasserie on Merchant Square for their new location, which will decorated in their signature style with plenty of exposed brickwork and Japanese graffiti – although with a slightly more opulent edge.

Features of the multi-level site include three dining areas, two cocktails bars, a DJ booth and a glass-fronted private dining room plus a new menu. Classics such as curries and Pad Thai will be on offer along with new, contemporary dishes such as their Thai Fish and Chips and Koh Samui Surf and Turf – all washed down with selections from their extensive cocktail menu.

To herald their arrival in Merchant City, Bar Soba will be offering 50% off all main courses Sundays-Thursdays and Fridays up until 5pm in August.

Bar Soba, 79 Albion Street, Merchant City.
