Two of the UK’s best-known classic rock bands have joined forces for a joint headline tour which will be calling at the SSE Hydro in December.

Known for anthems such as ‘Rock of Ages’, ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’ and ‘Animal’, Def Leppard’s career has spanned three decades.

They’ve sold more than 100 million albums across the globe, and the tour comes as they’re gearing up to release their latest eponymous offering at the end of the year.

Whitesnake, known for the number ones ‘Here I Go Again’ and ‘Is This Love’, are joining Def Leppard as the last part of a global tour.

They’re also set to release a new album shortly; their first in four years. ‘The Purple Album’ features new version of classics from frontman David Coverdale’s time as lead singer with Deep Purple.

The show, with support from Black Star Riders, will take place at the SSE Hydro on December 10. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Wednesday April 1.
