FFS - the supergroup formed by fellow arch-pop types Franz Ferdinand and Sparks - has announced its debut shows in the UK this summer, with Glasgow's Art School the opening show. The venue (which has a special resonance for the Franz boys, being where they formed) will welcome FFS on Tue Jun 16, a couple of weeks ahead of their Mon Jun 29 show at London's Troxy. The dates in-between will be taken up by a host of European engagements, including appearances at Berlin's Lollapalooza and Spain's Benicassim festivals.

There's also an album in the works, produced by John Congleton (whose previous credits include work with Modest Mouse and Marilyn Manson). We haven't heard much from it, apart from this typically humorous teaser:

FFS play The Art School on Tue Jun 16 - tickets go on sale from 9am on Fri Mar 13.
