Coffee connoisseurs can celebrate the best of the bean this month at Glasgow Coffee Festival. Taking place at The Briggait on Saturday October 17, the event will feature a variety of caffeine contributors including exhibitors, masterclasses, workshops, presentations and demonstrations with more than 30 exhibitors involved. These include Scottish favourites such as Dear Green Coffee Roasters, Artisan Roast and Brew Lab alongside newbies like Glasgow’s Back to Black Coffee and international stars such as Five Elephant in Berlin.

The organisers say the festival aims to educate, entertain and inspire coffee consumers by meeting coffee professionals and sampling brews from a handpicked selection of roasters and baristas. There will also be the opportunity to learn latte art and upgrade your home brewing kit while viewing art, film and photography. The festival will also play host to the inaugural UK Coffee Roasting Championship, sanctioned by the UK chapter of the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe. So you know that sounds legit.

All proceeds will to go to Social Bite and Girls Gotta Run, so you can do some good just for drinking coffee.

Glasgow Coffee Festival, October 17, 10am-7pm, The Briggait. Tickets £10 advance including one hot drink, under 14s free.
