Iconic singer Prince could be heading to Glasgow in the coming weeks for a show as part of an upcoming 16-date European tour set to take place in November and December.

A solo tour, ‘Prince Spotlight: Piano and a Microphone’, was reportedly announced at a press conference at his Paisley Park studios in Minnesota over the weekend. Although nothing has yet been put out officially confirming his tour, his official Twitter account has been dropping hints.

The tour is set to include four UK shows in Glasgow, Liverpool, Birmingham and London. The dates and venues are not yet finalised, although he is reportedly opening the tour at Vienna's Konzerthaus on November 21, along with dates in Barcelona on December 13 and Brussels on December 22.

According to Spanish newspaper El Pais, Prince says he’s decided to play with just his piano as it is ‘more pure’ and it’ll be the first time in his career that he will undertake a tour of this type.

We'll have more once a Glasgow date is confirmed.
