It started in Amsterdam in 2008 and 2009 with a couple of hotels that not only looked cool but incorporated features like free movies, free wifi, big beds and more. The concept proved so successful that citizenM hotels are now found elsewhere in the Netherlands, here in Glasgow – a Borg-like cube on Renfrew Street – also in London, New York and Paris. They're probably going to conquer the world and they're not even expensive.
