Time Out says

Small shop selling colourful homewares and trinkets by the cream of Glasgow’s creative talent

Designer Mhari McMullan’s shop opened in the West End in 2009, before becoming a pop-up inside the CCA on Sauchiehall Street for several months in late 2010, before moving into the CCA permanentlyy. You’ll find Welcome Home situated just beside the front desk at the main entrance, showcasing colourful handmade craft, design and illustration pieces by local makers as well as designers from further afield, whose stuff you’re unlikely find elsewhere in Glasgow. Pieces can be as cheap as a smart little recycled paper geometric notebook by MULK for just a fiver, or as expensive as a limited-edition silk scarf by artist Ciara Phillips for £125.

In between you’ll find all sorts, from kaleidoscopic coasters or patchwork cushions by Fun Makes Good, to a miniature clay dinosaur by artist Gregor Wright (sold in conjunction with his CCA exhibition Dinosaur Expert I’m Feeling Lucky). You’ll also find prints from CCA exhibitions, and there are new, sometimes very limited-edition items coming and going all the time. Welcome Home also has a website, so you can own a little piece of unique Glasgow creativity even if you aren’t able to drop in to browse.
