Dirimart is hosting ‘Santosha’, Çiğdem Aky’s second solo exhibition at the gallery. In this exhibition, Aky steps away from the formal structures that have long shaped her painting practice, leaving behind self-imposed frames and constraints. By relinquishing control, aesthetic goals, and familiar patterns of thought, she allows the painting to follow its own flow. Guided by silence, this new phase creates an inner space of liberation, where color moves as an autonomous presence and a soft, intuitive visual language emerges. ‘Santosha’ offers viewers a realm of discovery that reflects the sense of calm, clarity, and pure being the artist has reached through this transformation in her practice.
The exhibition is on view at Dirimart from January 8 to February 22.
