Galata Tower

Built in 1348 during an expansion of the Genoese colony in Constantinople, the Galata Tower is one of Istanbul's most iconic landmarks. The sturdy tower features a panoramic viewing balcony at the top, giving visitors one of the best view of the city and its bodies of water. The tower also hosts a restaurant and café that stays open longer than the regular visiting hours.
