Destroyer

Canadian musician Dan Bejar and Destroyer, the project he started in the mid ’90s, are responsible for ‘Kaputt’, one of the best albums of past year. Of course, his work with The New Pornographers and Swan Lake are worthy of note, but it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Bejar is best able to express himself and create freely when he’s working with Destroyer. Although the ninth Destroyer album, ‘Kaputt’, was released after a period in which Bejar expressed a sense of dissatisfaction with music, the musician has proven that he’s still capable of creating exciting records.
