One Love Festival 15

One of the city's longest-lasting festivals, One Love continues to spread the borrowed message of Bob Marley to people who find common ground in their love of music. This year, the event takes over Parkorman for an all-day celebration featuring 9 Turkish and 10 international musical acts. On the main stage we have Irish indie rockers Two Door Cinema Club, British experimental art rock band Django Django, Belgian indie pop and rock group Balthazar (whose live Istanbul performance last year was perfection), English indie rock and minimal pop band Arthur Beatrice, Turkish vocalist on-the-rise Kalben and Anatolian pop-inspired musician Umut Adan. Two notable acts on the electronic music-focused Converse stage are Ben Pearce and HVOB, while dance music lovers would do well not to miss DJs Andrea Oliva and Cervus on the Into The Woods stage. When it’s time to take a break from dancing, you can lounge on beach chairs, cool off in inflatable pools or peruse the booths of various boutiques.
