Portico Quartet

If you weren’t at Portico Quartet’s concert at Salon İKSV in 2011, you missed out – but now you have another chance to see the London-based group, the most original jazz band in recent years. Portico Quartet distinguishes itself from similar bands and brings a whole new wave to modern jazz with its strong saxophone, enthralling ‘hang’ sounds, modest drums and solid double bass. Band members Jack Wyllie, Duncan Bellamy, Milo Fitzpatrick and Keir Vine create a delicious and unique blend of sounds.
