Riff Cohen sings in French and Hebrew, with a musical vocabulary influenced by Middle Eastern, French and American styles. Her songs are catchy and energetic, at once highly danceable and musically complex (she has a degree in ethnomusicology from Tel Aviv University).
Cohen has been writing and composing her own songs since she was 8. Her biggest inspiration is her grandmother Fortunée from Djerba Island, Tunisia who, although illiterate, passed on to her a love of music and storytelling.
Building upon the international appreciation of her hit songs "J'aime" and "A Paris," Riff Cohen entrances with her infinite enthusiasm and deft musicianship. See her perform at the Zorlu Center on December 4th.
