Weval, the Amsterdam-based duo that combines electronic music with emotional depth, cinematic storytelling, and impeccable production, is coming to Istanbul in December. Since their 2013 debut, the band, comprised of Harm Coolen and Merijn Scholte Albers, has become one of the names redefining atmospheric dance music. Their cinematic background gives their music visual depth and emotional continuity. Their tracks, which oscillate between introspective electronica, psychedelic pop, and minimal techno, combine both analog warmth and contemporary sound design. In short, listening to Weval engages not only your ears but also your imagination. Their latest album, "Chorophobia," is a direct response to what the band describes as "a fear of dancing." With this album, Weval takes a bolder approach to the club energy they've avoided for years, while still remaining true to their own path. The duo has performed at major festivals like Primavera, Pukkelpop, and Lowlands, and has also repeatedly filled legendary venues like the Paradiso and Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. We're incredibly lucky they'll be bringing their incredible live performances to Istanbul.
