This Lebanese restaurant, located on the 9th floor of Hilton İstanbul, has a fairy-tale atmosphere with its oriental décor details. The view is as breathtaking as ever with the Bosphorus right at your feet. But, let’s focus on the food... Lately, Beirut has become quite a popular vacation spot. You’ve either been there and can’t get the food out of your mind, or you’ve listened to your friends who have been there recount flavourful stories making your mouth drool. Now you can taste all of those dishes at Al Bushra, where experienced Lebanese chefs manage the kitchen.
While meze dishes such as warakenab (Lebanese stuffed grape leaves), hoummos (humus, 12 TL), kebbeh nahey (raw meat with bulgur, 14 TL), falafel, samboussik (pastry with minced meat and pistachios), tabbouleh and babagannush are filling, but be sure to leave room for the entrée. The menu features coal-grilled meat and chicken dishes such as castaleta and jawaneh dajah. The kafta kebap (30 TL) is definitely worthy of mention. Some tables have a copper round tray in the middle, which makes sharing meze dishes much easier. You can make a selection from the restaurant’s rich wine cellar to go with your meal, but our recommendation is rakı. The arak that accompanies meals in Lebanon (which cannot be imported at the moment) is like the twin sister of our rakı. As for the last touch, hear us out and don’t leave the table without trying the eggplant and walnut desserts, the dry baklava brought from Gaziantep and the künefe (12 TL), served warm with melted cheese.
