Time Out says
Opened in 2000, Canım Ciğerim is a two-storey restaurant in Asmalımescit dedicated to the consumption of liver. They can host up to 50 people in the winter and, with the inclusion of the garden, 60-70 during the summer. The menu offers a selection of dishes from Mersin. Liver skewers, liver wraps (durum), meat skewers, chicken skewers, chicken wraps, and more. The ingredients are brought in fresh and the food is prepared daily. The portions are generously sized and filling, with 10 skewers in one portions. On the side you can order ‘ezme salata’ (spicy tomato salad with onions), parsley, mint, arugula, garden cress, green onions, and onions with sumac seasoning. The cumin and chilli flakes they use come from Antep while the sumac and pomegranate syrup are from Mersin. For dessert there’s künefe, and if you really don’t have space for dessert after dinner, you can always take some home.
