Atiye Sokak is undoubtedly the heart of the eating and drinking industry in Nisantası. Unwilling to give up his prime location, ex-partner of the street’s Italian establishment, Elio, decided to revamp the interior, menu and concept of the eatery to transform it into Blush Atiye.
There is a stove-heated terrace out front, as well as a garden in the back that invites visitors to get some fresh air, even in the middle of winter. Those who choose to sit out front can do some serious people watching on Atiye Sokak. Inside there are solid wooden tables that are ideal for groups, while the second floor is perfect for those who want to stay out of sight.
Blush Atiye operates as a bistro throughout the day and is enlivened by music on nights and weekends. Although the checkered tablecloths and dishes like beef carpaccio, minestrone soup, fresh pasta, risotto and pizza varieties might have you feeling like you’re in an Italian restaurant, the menu takes on more of an international flair with hamburgers, quesadilla, begˆendili köfte (spicy meatballs with creamy eggplant puree), steak with mushroom sauce, Thai noodle and sea bass wrapped in Swiss chard. The main courses here range from 20 to 46 TL.
The most popular dishes at Atiye are the salads and pizzas, which undoubtedly reflects the latest trend among Nis¸antas¸ı residents, particularly women who frequent the area after work or on weekends. Yet the restaurant management also serves more ambitious dishes like abudaraho, or fish roe served on crispy buttered bread, as well as Osso Buco, or beef shanks served on lemon-saffron risotto (which “no one does better,” they claim).
You’ll hear pop and jazz melodies during the day at Blush Atiye and house-lounge varieties at night. Add to that the attentive service and you’ve got an eatery that’s fit for those who want to enjoy a good meal and continue having fun throughout the night, all in one place.
