Opened by a German family who decided to abandon their plan to immigrate to Bagdad and stay in Istanbul instead, Fischer restaurant is a nice little restaurant. Along with German and Austrian cuisine, they also offer a number of Russian and Hungarian dishes, the restaurant is most famous for its Vienna schnitzel served with german potato salad. Chef Derviş Çelik also prepares a memorable Russian borscht. For dessert, you can’t go wrong with apple strudel. There are also daily specials available that include Turkish options such as silverbeet dolma, karnıyarık (aubergine stuffed with onions, tomato and mince), hünkâr beğendi (lamb stew on creamy eggplant puree).
