Kruton might be described as the older brother of Kruvasan, a bakery that opened a few months ago in Teşvikiye. With a décor and atmosphere that looks straight out of Giacomo Puccini’s La bohème, Kruton is a cozy eatery (it has enough room to seat 8-10 people) that perfectly complements the neighborhood’s European flair. You can either grab a seat inside and watch the kitchen staff at work or opt for the winter garden shared with Kruvasan. The menu at Kruton is quite simple: highlights include a Schnitzel Milanese that’s already become a favorite and a pumpkin soup that’s a winter staple. The dishes are quite filling, while elegant presentations and good service make this an ideal Teşvikiye spot to enjoy a good meal and unwind for a few hours.
