One of last summer’s most popular rooftop venues, Mentha Rooftop Club, has extended its reach to Nişantaşı with a brand new eatery. The newest addition to the neighborhood is Mentha Nişantaşı, which boasts a spacious garden and stellar cocktails, making it an ideal location for indoor events. The venue operates with a “kitchen bar” concept, serving a succinct menu of four salads, four warm appetizers and five main courses created by celebrity chef Gabriele Sponza. One of the star items on it is the boneless lamb shank slow-cooked for 10 hours in a reduction of red wine and prunes. Those in the mood for a light meal can also opt for the goat cheese salad, which achieves big flavor with few ingredients. From the appetizers, the thinly sliced beef marinated with thyme was somewhat disappointing due to its small serving size. Mentha is sure to become the new destination for those seeking to escape the mayhem of Nişantaşı.
