The most important features of Thai food are the spices and the chilli sauces. Menu items that are listed as very hot, can also be prepared with either less or no chilli at all, and to lessen the overall effects of the spices, special fruit juices and lemonade, made of fresh fruits and a special syrup, are available. We particularly recommend the cantaloupe and watermelon juices. The waiters are very polite and knowledgeable about the menu and the food they serve. Pera Thai is the a great way to both discover a new corner of Beyoğlu while simultaneously sampling delights from Thai chefs Suticha Janvicmian and Bunchuai Kaewmak’smenu for reasonable prices. Chosen for ‘Thai Select’ by the Thailand Ministry of Commerce in 2006, the restaurant renews its menu at periodic intervals.
