We’ve got good news for all of you who are sick of the chaos on İstiklal, who don’t even dare to make a move towards Asmalımescit or Şişhane. We’ve found a new haven for you. TAG Cafe & Bistro is located on Postacılar Sokak, right across from Ada Bookstore as you’re making your way towards Tünel on İstiklal Caddesi. The venue’s been decorated to reflect the comfort and warmth of home, down to the naked, red brick walls enveloping the dining space and the mismatched chairs. We also love that the street is like TAG’s own backyard, which means the only people you come eye-to-eye with while smoking are the very people who are in the cafe with you. The menu’s got a wide variety of options from both world fare and local favourites. The weekly menu is offered from 12.00-15.00 daily, perfect for those working in the neighbourhood. Dinner is served until 22.00, though TAG generally stays open till 02.00 to host themed parties.
