The Kebap & Steak, has a panoramic view that includes Kız Kulesi (the Maiden’s Tower) and a menu that, true to the restaurant’s name, combines traditional Turkish kebap and steaks. As soon as you enter the well-decorated The Kebap & Steak, you’ll be greeted by a stone oven shaped like the Maiden’s Tower, which lends a tad of tawdriness to the whole affair. There’s also a terrace, set up like a winter garden, where you can take in the sights and sounds. Chef Rıdvan Aksoy oversees the menu of south-eastern Anatolian dishes.
You can enjoy kebap and lahmacun from the stone oven and çöp şiş, ribs and lamb chops from the fireside. The shrimp kebap prepared with special sauces and the anglerfish kebap are rather original. Meats used in kebap dishes are carefully sauced,marinated and processed so as not to meddle with taste. The steak menu includes T-bone steak, New York steak and Rib Eye Steak. Those of you searching for the perfect künefe (a dessert of syrupy oven-baked shredded pastry topped with gooey cheese) should give The Kebap & Steak’s a try. The restaurant brings in all ingredients from Antakya. You can also find kabak tatlısı (pumpkin dessert) and chestnut soufflé here. In addition to Turkish wines, the wine list includes wines from France, Italy, Argentina and Chile.
