This mansion was turned into Valide Sultan Konağı Hotel and the same –named restaurant is preferable for its view of the Marmara Sea and Sultanahmet (during summer, the terrace is available, too) . The venue offers open buffet breakfast in the mornings. For lunch and dinner, the menu emphasizes on Turkish Cuisine, mainly meat and fish. Chef Mehmet Usta especially recommends ‘kağıt kebabı’ (kebap cooked in paper) and ‘Palas Kebap’(chopped veal in a whole aubergine cooked in a casserole, topped with mashed potatoes and melted chese, served with mushrooms and veggies). Other highlights are lamb shish, mixed grill and steak. Alcohol serving is also available. Valide Sultan Konağı is also ideal for group events.
