Jennifer's Hamam

Located in Sultanahmet’s Arasta Bazaar, Jennifer’s Hamam is a shop (with two separate locations) that is, to the undiscerning eye, indistinguishable from the row of tourist shops whose windows bear signs that read ‘organic’ . But owner Jennifer Gaudet’s aim isn’t simply to sell colourful towels, peshtamals and shawls; she’s also trying to keep alive the art of Turkish weaving by supporting local artisans.
