Pass the popcorn! Upcoming Disney movies and new Disney movies have made a splash and certainly deserve your attention. 

Expect live-action remakes, superhero adventures and Disney princess movies coming your way this year. If the youngsters aren't patient enough to wait for the best kids movies 2019 has in store, spend the night on the couch with our favorite newbies. You can rent fun family comedy movies like The Incredibles 2 or get reaquainted with old friends in Cars 2. Options, laughs and adventure abound! 

We can say with confidence that the lengthy list of upcoming Disney movies proves it's Mickey's world and we're just living in it.

1. Captain Marvel (2019)

It's all about girl power in the latest offering from Marvel. Our leading lady, Captain Marvel, is part of an intergalatic battle that needs to come to an end. Meanwhile, she keeps questioning her past life, seemingly as a U.S. Air Force pilot. Will she uncover the mysteries surrounding her past? Will this battle between humans and the Skrulls finally come to an end? Opens Mar 8, 2019. Rated PG-13.

2. Dumbo (2019)

Our favorite elephant gets the live-action treatment in Disney's latest retelling of the classic story. In the hands of Tim Burton, this tale is bound offer plenty of "wow" moments courtesy of its whimsical fantasyland. Opens Mar 29, 2019. Rated PG.

Tony Stark is facing quite a conundrum: He's flying solo in outer space, sans food and water. On the other hand, his superhero sidekicks are ready to go head-to-head with Thanos in order to bring back their allies. The Avengers certainly have their work cut out for them. Opens Apr 26, 2019. A sequel to 2014's live-action Maleficent is underway, and Aurora (Elle Fanning) and the nefarious Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) are returning to the big screen for a dose of magic and mystery. Opens Oct 18, 2019. Not yet rated.

9. Frozen 2 (2019)

Our favorite sisters are making their long-awaited return after the success of 2013's Frozen. Dare we say, a new "Let It Go" is very likely waiting for us, so get ready for a kids' karaoke session. Although a teaser has been released, we're not terribly certain of the direction the film will take. Regardless, we are ready and waiting for Anna and Elsa's next adventure. Opens Nov 22, 2019. 10. Star Wars Episode IX (2019)

Clara wants nothing more than to unlock her late mother’s box. She didn’t realize that key she receives at holiday party actually unlocks the door to new realms. Who wouldn’t want to take the journey alongside Clara through the Land of Snowflakes, the Land of Flowers and the Land of Sweets? Things get dicey in the fourth realm, but you’ll be too addicted to this holiday version of Alice In Wonderland to turn back. Rated PG.

Meg and Charles are missing their pop. A few years ago, the scientist discovered a new planet and used a new method known as tesseract to get there. With a little help, the brother-sister duo make their way to father, but it's no easy feat. They have to venture through a planet with a large dose of evil. Rated PG.

T'Challa has a lot on his place. Not only did he just lose his father, but he must now assume the role as king in the African nation, Wakanda. To make matters even more difficult, an enemy returns and threatens the fate of the nation, so T'Challa has to act fast. Rated PG–13. 

There's no such thing as a dull moment for Han Solo. He teams up with galactic smugglers who are at the mercy of Dryden Vos. In order to satisfy his wishes, the crew attempts to steal coaxium from the planet Kessel. But no mission is complete without a getaway car, er, vessel. Will Han be able to get his hands on the Millennium Falcon? Rated PG–13.

Miguel's family does not permit him to listen to music, so the young boy must idolize singer Ernesto de la Cruz quietly. He's determined to follow in Ernesto's footsteps and sets out on a quest to make it happen. He arrives in the Land of the Dead, and with the help of a new buddy named Héctor, the two piece together what happened to make his family detest music so much. Rated PG. 

Lighting McQueen is upstaged by new cars on the raceway. In order to get back in the game, turns to a technician named Cruz Ramirez for some help. Will he be able to emerge victorious once more? Rated PG.
