Leeds has some truly great restaurants catering for all sorts of different tatstes. Now more than ever before there are alternatives to standard fayre and more people are opting for veggie food. Locally sourced ingredients are nothing new but at Kith & Kin, which has just replaced the space vacated by the Zed Bar in Chapel Allerton, they’ve taken things a step farther. Local allotment holders and “windowsill growers’ have teamed up with the restaurant – open for breakfast, lunch and dinner – to offer their super fresh produce, in return for which they get food and drink on the house. They also whip up a mean cocktail.
