Beer lovers, you'll want to mark your calendars for November 20. For those of you who wish to learn the meticulous craft of beer making, there's no one better to show you the ropes than LA-based wild food researcher and self-proclaimed culinary alchemist Pascal Baudar. After all, it is a science. Taking place at DTLA's Hauser Wirth & Schimmel, the afternoon workshop will feature a hands-on beer making experience with Baudar and a guide to his favorite of-the-wild ingredients like bark, leaves and roots. For those who wish to get in the nature spirit beforehand, join the crew for an optional morning nature walk from 10am to 12:30pm in which Baudar will guide the group through a local forest and explore wild edibles and aromatic plants. Think of it like a how-to guide to hunter-gathering—for your beer, of course.
