Eating is a public service. Well at least it is at this Bocuse d'Or charity dinner. Fill your belly with a contemporary French seven-course meal at Melisse (Santa Monica) and your heart with warm, fuzzy feelings knowing that $100 of the $185 price tag goes directly to the foundation, dedicated to "inspiring culinary excellence" in young chefs. Two seatings are available— 5:30pm and 8:15pm—for the hour long dinner. We'll eat to that.
