Forget your corned beef and throw away your cabbage; try something new this year and order up some Irish Nachos at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. Chef Gabe Caliendo's special creation is not so much nachos (or Irish) as it is fried potatoes covered in housemade chili, jack and cheddar cheeses, sour cream, onions, tomatoes, and pickled jalapeños, and the whole dish will be served until March 27. And if you need some libations to put you in that St. Patrick's Day mood, pair your potatoes with a Half & Half (Harp Lager topped with Guinness), or a James & Ginger cocktail (Jameson Irish Whiskey, Gosling Ginger Beer, squeeze of fresh lime).
