Thanks to Culver City's rustic Italian restaurant AR Cucina and the oenophiles at Firriato Wines, Angelenos can transport their taste buds to the region of Sicily at the eatery's special Sicilian Dinner on Wednesday, February 22nd. The evening kicks off with a welcome reception where guests can whet their appetite with hors d'oeuvres like the eggplant caponata on a crispy crostini and a glass of vino. Immediately following, chef Akasha Richmond will serve up a five-course meal (read: Sicilian stuffed beef with Romanesco cauliflower, pasta with almond pesto trapanese, and the Cassata al Forno, a pie pastry iconic of the region with ricotta and dark chocolate—to name a few), alongside pairings of Firriato's finest, from the Le Sabbie dell'Etna, Etna Rosso, 2013 to the Santagostino Rosso, 2011.
