Located in the heart of the historical downtown Fullerton, In March 2013, JP23 BBQ Sports Restaurant opened with the the hopes and expectations of giving guests a unique dining experience.
With roots connecting to Texas, the family owners, recognized the lack of authentic southern style “smokehouse” BBQ in Orange County. At JP23, we pride ourselves in replicating this style of cooking which is very common in the south. The meats on your plate are carefully crafted. First, the meats are dry rubbed using our unique JP23 seasoning made with our own unique blend of spices and herbs. Once the seasonings are “rubbed”, the meats are carefully wrapped and then placed in a cold box for 24 hrs before going into “elmer the smoker” where the meats are cooked "low and slow" giving a tender juicy mouth watering flavors to your taste pallets. For maximum flavor, we use a blend of 3 different woods: Pecan, Cherry and Ash. Our flagship products Brisket, Tri-Tip and Ribs are a must try!!
