If you still haven’t seen Phantom (which is surprising, considering its international numbers and reputation as longest running show on Broadway, ever), here’s your chance. London-based theater household name Cameron Makintosh is bringing his version of Phantom to an LA stage, and it will be everything you hope it to be. Expect to recognize the famed “Music of the Night”, “Masquerade” and “All I Ask Of You”. If you don’t, don’t worry, you’ll probably fall in love with Christine (or Erik—who knows?) anyway. There’s a reason, after all, that the musical (based on the French 1909 novel by Gaston Leroux), is considered timeless. Intrigue, loss, and a love triangle: it’s all there (oh—and don’t forget deceit!). Recommended for ages 6 and up.
