High fashion intersects ancient history at the Getty Center as the hanbok, a traditional South Korean silk dress, hits the runway. Over 200 costumes inspired by designer Hyun-Sook Lee's extensive research on traditional royal garments will be modeled to the beats of traditional Korean percussions. The program is co-presented by the Korean Cultural Center and is a complement to the exhibition Looking East: Encounter with Asia.
