Shaking in our Seats: Earthquake Science on the Big Screen

Whenever an earthquake reminds us of the chaos that awaits Los Angeles at any minute, Dr. Lucy Jones is all over social media, TV and radio to soothe us (or scare us) with some science. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Caltech's Seismological Laboratory, Jones will moderate this panel with scientists, engineers and public officials on how earthquakes are depicted in films (think: Earthquake, San Andreas), and what would really happen during and after the Big One.
