2nd Annual Jax "Superman" Johnson Softball Tournament

Last year was such a big success, that we have decided to make this tournament an annual event. With help from so many people locally and nationally, we were able to raise alot of money to help the Johnson Family in their time of need and have alot of fun at the same time. This year, we are keeping the tournament named after Jax, but are changing the benificiary of all the proceeds to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. I will be providing a link very soon to their webpage so donations can be made directly to St Jude in the name of our event. We are about to start our search process for sponsors. If you know of anyone or business that would like to donate or help, please have them reach out to me ASAP. Now for the tournament information: 2nd Annual Jax "Superman" Johnson Softball Tournament to benefit St Jude Children's Research Hospital Date: March 14th, 2015 Location: Appling Softball Complex- Bartlett, TN Divisions: Men's (16 teams) and Women's (8 teams) Entry Fee: $200 for 3 homeruns or $250 for unlimited Rules: ASA Modified Pitching: 6-10ft, no faking, 1-1 count w/courtesy, plate mat will be used. Plate and Mat will be called strikes if correct height. Do to the nature of this tournament, any pitcher struck with a batted ball that the umpire deems the pitcher did not have time to react or move, the ball will be called dead and the batter will be out. Balls: 44/400 and below Bats: Girls can swing any bats Guys - No Senior or Gender Specific bats, Courtesy Runners: Unlimited Runners but each player can only run once per inning for someone else. Since we are so far from the tournament date, we may be able to get more fields, but for now, I will take teams until we are full and the rest will go on the waiting list.
