Captain Munch
The electronic producing duo, Captain Munch, is comprised of Adam Lochemes and Chandler Snipes. Chandler and Adam are two freshmen in college. Chandler attends Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and Adam attends Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Although the two kids do not attend the same college, they are still continuing to produce music and are still booking shows together, and they have just finished their debut album.

Captain Munch’s debut album, “Departure from the Norm”, will be released sometime in early February 2015. The fourteen-song album features numerous artists such as Even the Odds, Dani Redfield, Porter Collett, and many more. Due to Captain Munch’s desire to showcase young talent within their first album, they chose to only incorporate college freshmen as featured artists. “Departure from the Norm” is not the stereotypical EDM album because Captain Munch aspired to move towards live performances instead of DJing.

Captain Munch, originally started as a side project by Adam Lochemes in 2011, but was joined in November of 2013 by Chandler Snipes. Since the duo of Chandler Snipes and Adam Lochemes was formed, they have been able to book numerous shows and produce more music. Although, Chandler and Adam have been friends for over 15 years, they did not work together to produce music until their senior year of high school. The duo has continued their work together well into their freshman year of college, although they do not attend the same school.

In 2015, Captain Munch hopes to center their year around the release of “Departure from the Norm”. This includes booking a tour that consists independent shows and music festivals. In these shows, they hope to showcase their album through live performances that will use live instruments such as drums, guitars, and keyboards.
