Cash Unchained: The Music Of Johnny Cash And June Carter says
Ransom Harmony 7-8:30 pm
Like the Carter Family, the Ransom Harmony band members were raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Many a long summer day or cold winter snap was spent picking, playing and singing old Gospel or Country songs. In the 1930’s and 1940’s, the Carter Family recorded many folk songs including “Wildwood Flower”, “Keep on the Sunny Side”, and “Will the Circle Be Unbroken”, and “Swing Low” and this music is what Ransom Harmony makes part of the Johnny and June Carter Cash tribute. Clare Sukley will also be performing with James 3 as the Johnny Cash—June Cash Carter duet, singing many of their favorites like “September When it Comes” and “Jackson”.

James 3 9-11 pm

Take a journey back in time to the life and music of “The Man in Black” performed by James 3 and Clare Sukley.

Steady like a train, sharp like a razor, with the perfect blend of country, rock ‘n’ roll, and folk music, Cash paved the way for artists of all genres for years to come. James 3 captures Cash’s trademark baritone voice, while his band delivers the infectious, driving rhythm of the Tennessee Three.

They will entertain you with Cash’s greatest hits including “Folsom Prison blues”, “Ring of Fire”, “Walk the Line”, and many more. You will also hear songs from the end of Cash’s career including his final hit “Hurt” written by Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails). Clare Sukley, lead singer from opening band Ransom Harmony, will join James 3 on stage to perform the country classic duets including “Jackson” and “It Ain’t Me Babe”.
