Selected Canadian films will be screened every Wednesday evening in May at Studio on the Square, in conjunction with the Canadian Film Institute in Ottawa, Memphis in May's International Salute to Canada, & Indie Memphis.

MONSIEUR LAZHAR - At a Montréal public grade school, an Algerian immigrant is hired to replace a popular teacher who committed suicide in her classroom. While helping his students deal with their grief, his own recent loss is revealed. Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Directed by Philippe Falardeau.
