Lenten Choral Evensong

Musical settings will be sung by Tallis, Ayleward, Hassler, Howells and Walton. The Memphis Chamber Choir will be singing the service of Choral Evensong on Sunday at 5:30 pm. This outstanding mixed choral ensemble is an auditioned choir of approximately 20 members from the greater Memphis area. It began as a companion to the Memphis Boychoir in 1989 and these groups often perform together. These great musicians are also exemplars for the children in our program through their commitment to excellence and musical leadership. The membership of the Chamber Choir includes clergy, staff, and parishioners of Saint John's Church, parents of Boychoir members, professional musicians, and gifted amateurs from across the city of Memphis.
